The IFSEC International security services event took place in London this week. It’s one of the best occasions all year to meet with other security professionals and learn about the latest security solutions; and we at W4G Fire & Security are thrilled to have attended.
To help our clients share our excitement, we thought we’d prepare this article to explain exactly what this event is all about and why it’s so important to the security services industry.
IFSEC international, or the International Fire and Security Exhibition and Conference, is Europe’s leading security event and the number one reunion occasion for the industry. That means when it comes to meeting and interacting with people in the security industry to learn the latest in UK security solutions, there really is no better place to be. It’s a place where security professionals, installers, users, distributors, integrators, and manufacturers can all come together in a collaborative space to push the industry forward and provide our clients with the best security solutions possible.
Alongside the team at W4G Fire & Security, IFSEC International was also visited by key security associations such as the BSIA, SSAID, A SIS, NSIA, The Security Institute, NSI and the FSA. With so many big names in UK security solutions in attendance, the event was a font from which to draw new information and innovations to push our own security services even further.
There are always a wealth of events exhibited at the IFSEC International and 2022 was no different. With so many big names in the security industry in attendance, the W4G Fire & Security team was committed to seeing everything we could. Event categories at this year’s IFSEC included:
While there were so many reasons to attend the IFSEC, there was one seminar in particular that we had our eye on. The Protect & Prepare Seminar on Protect Duty and public venue protection. Everyone in the industry has been watching the upcoming protect duty legislation with baited breath, certain that no matter what form it ultimately takes, there will be considerable ramifications for the security services, security guards, and facilities management sectors in the industry, to name but a few.
Unfortunately we were unable to attend this seminar. However, the event as a whole was a great success. We were able to meet with other industry professionals and gain further knowledge in providing security solutions for all sectors – in particular, manned and electronic security and fire and facilities management. In addition, much of the discussion did focus on Protect Duty and how any new legislation would have a considerable impact on all sectors in the industry.
The knowledge shared here was invaluable, and will allow us to better prepare all of our clients who manage or operate in or at these locations to better prepare themselves for what is to come.
